Trump, Musk, Zuckerberg and Amodei in one room: 5 quotes every business owner should hear

The White House got the AI giants to sign a voluntary safety accord. We pulled 5 quotes from the press conference that speak directly to a small business.

Last night, on one stage at the White House, stood Trump, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Dario Amodei (Anthropic, the maker of Claude), Jensen Huang (NVIDIA), Sundar Pichai (Google) and Greg Brockman (OpenAI). They signed a document called “The White House Accord on Superintelligence” (Trump’s new name for artificial intelligence. The man loves renaming things), took reporters’ questions for 38 minutes, and along the way officially renamed the whole field: AI out, SI in. Is it just me, or does “Supreme Intelligence” sound a lot like the (late) Iranian Supreme Leader? Is Trump trolling his enemies?

I watched the press conference. Most of the talk was politics, data centers and the midterms. I wondered what politics had to do with this meeting. Rhetorical question, of course. Everything. But in between, five things were said that speak directly to a small or medium business in Israel (and the world. Sorry, the universe. It is 2026). Here they are, ordered by how much they matter to businesses like ours:

1. Brockman (OpenAI): “We see a whole renaissance of small businesses”

The president of OpenAI got the microphone for half a minute. The first thing he chose to say, before scientific discoveries and before drug development, was small businesses.

That is not an accident. The big models are already good enough to do the work of an assistant, a secretary, a first-line support rep and an analyst. What used to be the advantage of a corporation with an IT department is now available to a three-person law office, an online shop, a renovation contractor.

What it means for you: the competitive edge of the big players is shrinking. Whoever uses that first in their niche gets a few years of head start.

But the window is closing fast. Remember when Facebook launched and hardly anyone used it? Today everyone has social accounts. I personally think people will adopt AI (sorry, SI) very quickly, and there is no time to waste. We are in a critical period. Competition in business will get harder, because plenty of office professionals will be laid off, start businesses and compete to survive. They will have the most powerful tools available, and when supply rises and demand falls, prices fall.

2. Musk: “Being a computer used to be a job”

A reporter asked what happens to people who work in front of a screen when agents do the work. Musk answered with a story: there used to be buildings full of people whose job was to calculate. They were called “computers”. Digital computers took the job, and nobody misses calculating interest rates by hand all day.

The sentence after it matters more: “We’ll see an evolution of roles.”

What it means for you: the right question is not “will the agent replace the bookkeeper”. The question is what the bookkeeper does with the 60% of her time that just freed up. A business that has an answer to that question wins twice.

3. Pichai (Google): “Like financial controls in a company”

When Pichai was asked to explain what exactly they signed, he said: processes and controls, the way every company has financial controls. Who may spend money, who approves, who checks afterwards.

Zuckerberg spelled it out: internal controls, external audit, and a board that reads the reports.

What it means for you: this is exactly the model for running an AI agent in a business. An agent that answers customers on WhatsApp needs the same three things: a clear definition of what it may do on its own, a human approval point for sensitive actions, and a log someone reads once a week. If that is enough for the giants, it is enough for you.

4. Trump: “Whoever wins SI wins”

He repeated it three times. He was talking about countries. But the same logic works at street scale.

What it means for you: every business now has very powerful tools for growth, in marketing, sales, operations, management, thinking and research. The smallest example: an agent that answers a customer within 20 seconds at night, instead of the next morning, does not look like a big advantage. Until your competitor runs one and you discover your leads are going to him. And that is only the tip of the tip of the iceberg. Allow me to say it a fourth time: whoever wins SI wins in business! (and in life)

5. Amodei (Anthropic): “The mechanism is still under discussion”

Amodei was the only one on stage who said the word “risk” without softening it. He also admitted openly: how those risks get handled is not settled yet.

That matters because the whole agreement is voluntary, signed of the SI companies’ own free will. No regulator, no fine, a committee of ten people that may or may not be formed. Jensen Huang (NVIDIA) said: “There is no conflict between innovation and safety.” True, but someone has to build the safety. Meetings are nice, but let us see what actually happens. And by the way, hey, where were the representatives of the Chinese SI companies? The Russian ones? The… Iranian ones? The Israeli ones? Today the Americans lead in SI. How long until countries with different interests catch up? Is anyone regulating them?

What it means for you: there is risk in using SI. Let us not get complacent. You do not want to get sued, you do not want to charge customers enormous sums by mistake, you do not want spies in your organisation, and you really do not want a leak of private or sensitive internal data. If you use SI, always invest in safety mechanisms, because the risks are real. Yes, that is less pleasant to hear. Good thing Dario said it and not me.

A first step into the business renaissance

  1. Start with one process that repeats every day and needs no human judgment. First reply to leads, meeting scheduling, invoicing after a closed deal.
  2. Write three safety rules for the agent that will run it: what the agent may do, what needs approval, who checks the log and where it is kept.
  3. Run it for two weeks and compare with what you had before. Build confidence.

A small step that is the difference between “we heard there is SI” and “we have an agent that works”. From there you grow and scale, responsibly and wisely.

If you want to go through this process together, talk to us. A 20-minute call, no commitment, also on WhatsApp, and at the end you will have one efficient, secure process.

And if you feel there is no time to waste and you want to grow exponentially, let us invite you for a coffee. Yes, there is SI and there is Zoom, but there is no more Covid ;)
